Whipple (2017)

This oil panting represents an actual surgical specimen of pancreaticoduodenectomy, also known as Whipple procedure; a complex operation performed for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

The painting was commissioned by Dr. Victoria O’Connor, a prominent surgical oncologist from Los Angeles California, to commemorate the patients battling pancreatic cancer, their families, and their surgeons.

This oil painting represents an actual surgical specimen from distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy; an operation performed for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. The name of the painting reflects the elusive nature of the aggressive disease.

The painting was commissioned by Dr. Victoria O’Connor, a prominent surgical oncologist from Los Angeles California, to commemorate the patients battling pancreatic cancer, their families, and their surgeons.
